Vacances au Lac (Holidays by the Lake) is located in the heart of the beautiful Limousin countryside.

At the same time, it is only 5 km from the motorway, so you don’t have to wind your way along endless small roads to reach your destination. There is no noise pollution from the motorway; you are more likely to be kept awake by the owls that are active at night.

The Vacances au Lac holiday home has a 2500 m² garden and is surrounded by meadows and forests. What more could you want for a wonderful holiday in the heart of French nature?

Holidays in the woods among wild animals.

The woods of Compreignac, the village where our nature house is located, are densely populated by deer.

In autumn, you can hear the impressive calls of the red deer to the females. Between the end of February and the end of April, the deer shed their antlers, which you may be lucky enough to find in the woods. The babies are born in spring.

Foxes, owls, badgers, wild boars and other wildlife also live in the vast forests of Compreignac and the surrounding area. During a walk, you will come across various tracks of all these wild animals. And with a bit of luck, you will see them walking by.
