With its vast, dense forests, the Haute-Vienne region in central France is ideal for a mountain bike holiday.

The many hiking trails are easily accessible by mountain bike and there are many kilometres of single tracks to explore.

No Alps, but mountains nonetheless

Our holiday home is located 300 metres from Lake Saint Pardoux, where you can enjoy many water sports.

But the lake is also nestled between two mountains, Les Mont d’Ambazac and Les Mont de Blond.

So if you’re looking for elevation changes for downhill cycling, you’ve come to the right place.

Between 4 km and 52 km of groomed trails, 17 circuits with different levels. For those who want to downhill without climbing themselves, a shuttle bus is available.

Bike Park Limousin
In Mont d’Ambazac, 20 minutes from Limoges, lies the Bike Park Limoousin, where you can ride various tracks for a fee. On 150 hectares of forest, they have 16 trails for all levels with a height difference of 300 metres. There is a minibus to take you up. There is also a pump track, and you can hire equipment and bikes.

Our holiday home Vacances au Lac (Holidays by the Lake) is located 5 km from the A20 Paris-Toulouse motorway.

Vacances au Lac has 6 bedrooms with a total of 14 beds. Surrounded by meadows and the dense forests of the Limousin.

It is 500 metres from one of the most beautiful lakes in central France. In the morning, you can go mountain biking with the whole group and in the afternoon, you can swim and chill out by the lake.

The house has a spacious garage where the mountain bikes can be stored safely.
